The Affordable Connectivity Program is a program created by the US Federal Government through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that helps keep families connected to internet services. With this program, eligible households can receive up to a $30 subsidy toward their monthly internet services.
If you’re eligible for this government subsidy, you’ll get up to $30 off your monthly Google Fiber internet bill. That means you can get any of our plans — even our fastest — for less.
In order to qualify, a member of your household must meet at least one of the following criteria:
To confirm your eligibility for this government program, we must share certain qualifying information about you with the federal government. Please note that if your application ID, name, and other key information don’t match exactly, there may be a delay in applying the subsidy to your account. It’s important to make sure to enter your information exactly the same on both the government application and the Google Fiber ACP Subsidy form.
As long as you continue to qualify for the government requirements of this program, you will continue to be eligible. The FCC may periodically seek confirmation of your eligibility until the program ends (at this time, there is no set end date for the ACP. It is expected to be a long term program).
No. The Affordable Connectivity Program replaced the EBB on December 31, 2021. The new government program is a longer term solution to the EBB, which was a temporary program built to help eligible households pay for their internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
No. But the new government program’s requirements are slightly different from the EBB requirements, so make sure you meet the current eligibility requirements for the new program. As long as you do, you may not need to re-apply for the new government program.
Please note: Households that qualified for the EBB due to a substantial loss of income due to job loss or furlough since February 29, 2020 or by meeting the eligibility criteria for a participating provider’s COVID-19 program will need to requalify for the Affordable Connectivity Program These households should have received additional details in January 2022 about the steps they need to take from the program administrator (USAC).

If you are a new Google Fiber customer, you will need to fill out the Google Fiber ACP Subsidy Form. In this form you will be asked if you allow Google Fiber to transfer your ACP benefit from your old internet provider to Google Fiber. By transferring your ACP benefit to Google Fiber, your benefit will no longer apply to any service you receive from another provider, and you may be subject to that provider's undiscounted rates if you maintain service from them. Once your Google Fiber service is installed, you will be notified on the status of your ACP application within 48 hours, and if approved you will receive the subsidy credit starting on your next billing cycle.
